Effective Quit Drinking Technique

The very first technique I used on quitting drinking was perhaps exclusive to me. I had never heard of anything like it before: I call it THE SLEEP TECHNIQUE. It is a very easy way of quitting drinking. The result of the technique was quite astonishing and I advice you to try it out.

I decided to take five days off, stayed at home for five days and do nothing but sleep: that’s sleeping, getting up, eating, doing some personal routine, going back to bed and going to sleep again. I repeated this sequence each day. I did nothing else, I had no pressure. No communication with the outside world and it means no friends can trigger my desire to drink.

On the sixth day I got up and report to work. At the end of the day, I went to church and thank HIM.

From that day, I never touched a single bottle of alcohol again.

I must have read somewhere that by the third or fourth day your body can actually overcome the power of physical desire and you just had to work on the mental part. I believe that if my body wasn't all that excited, definitely I could control my mind. I made it five days without alcohol on my body and it was surprising.

I remember the way I began to think about drinking; I was about ten years old. I was riding my bicycle in front of our house with a neighborhood buddy. We were chatting about what grown-ups did: going to the party, drinking beers and smoking cigarette. I remember saying, "Yes, I will drink." I made a conscious conclusion and it is nothing but sophistication. Most adults smoked and I know it is exciting.

I realized now that I never really liked the taste of wine. I was hooked probably because of the so called sophisticated environment. The people surrounding me are all hooked to alcohol. It is a fact that young people copy certain actions of adults. And in my child’s mind, drinking is a normal thing to do. Drinking is a part of being mature and responsible.

At this moment, I am determined to quit. The Sleep Technique was a big part of my success. It is a technique that can be considered everyone as an easy way to quit drinking alcohol.

If they feel it is very difficult to get out of alcohol, they might also feel to give up their goals in achieving sobriety. If this happens, they will think twice to pursue their desire to quit drinking and go back to what they have started, abusing alcohol. We should do all the necessary actions to avoid this kind of event from happening and remind them to continue their fight against the horrible disease. Quitting Drinking – Is it Easy and Possible?
I will try to be realistic and I will tell you the truth, it is not easy to quit drinking alcohol. Even if there are lots of ways, procedures and methods accessible for any person who is planning to give up the terrible habit, he may still find it hard to obtain his goal. Even if there are different forms of help available in front of an alcoholic, that person may realize that it is very difficult to quit drinking, beat alcoholism and deal with all the things related to alcohol addiction. He will eventually get depressed because of rough sailing and experience signs of withdrawal and he will think it is better to give up the plans to avoid pains and sufferings. Now, before you jump into conclusion and put my head on the guillotine because of my rude claim, allow me to finish my statement and reasons out why I made this kind of report.

If an individual is hooked to alcoholism and he wants to quit drinking alcohol, (and he tries to do so) he will recognize that it is extremely hard to beat alcohol even if there are lots of assistance to quit drinking available to help him reach his goal. There are many reasons for this and not just reasons but strong and powerful grounds that are rooted in the individual’s behavior and personality. Physical, emotional and mental factors as well as personal and social aspects are there to influence the level of difficulty in terms of quitting drinking. I am not discouraging anyone to pursue his desire to totally give up the habit. I am here to encourage everyone who has become addicted to the substance to push his limit and fight the disease and live a responsible life.

The good news is also clear it is possible to quit drinking alcohol. Everyone can give up the habit, stop the drinking problems and recover from the disaster no matter what the consequences he had in the past. He can give up alcohol and stop the substance from ruining his life. Yes, that’s a fact, we all can recover. But as I’ve told you the bad news, there is no such thing as easy way to quit drinking, there are also work involve and I am referring to a lot of efforts needed to fight alcoholism. There is no proven single method, medically and naturally speaking, that we can implement to provide us an effective weapon in terms of beating alcoholism easily. We can totally kick the habit but we need to do a lot of efforts and we need the strength coming from within in doing so.

People from medical society or alcohol rehabilitation centers who are telling every person they met that it is easy to quit drinking alcohol know these difficulties and witness many individuals who went into hardships and painful stages when it comes to withdrawing from alcohol addiction. Alcoholism experts understand that there are times the person want to give up his plans and not go through special treatments especially those who are considered as alcoholics because they are suffering from physical and emotional symptoms while in the process. They might be claiming this and that and telling everyone it is an easy thing to do to encourage everyone to undergo treatment. But if I am the one who will tell you, it is not easy to quit drinking and I have known this and will share to you what I have gone through. I will show you how I made it to success and I want you to make it, too.

I have proven that it is very complicated to give up the habit especially if you are a heavy drinker for so many years. The addiction may have gone trough the system and the dependency creates a strong habit and gripped the mind and body to depend on it for a long time. In my journey in fighting alcohol addiction, I have tried many methods to quit drinking and I have applied different treatments for alcoholism. This situation allows me to study these alcoholism treatments and get a good glance to all the procedures I have tried. I can now say that after all those trials and errors; I managed to quit drinking alcohol. I believe you, too, can enjoy the benefits I am enjoying right now without drinking and we can mingle in our society even without alcohol.

About this Blog

There are many steps handy in order to totally get rid of drinking problems or stop drinking too much. I made this blog “How to Quit Drinking Alcohol” to provide tips and tricks for everyone who are thinking of living a life free from alcohol. I want to share my stories and experiences as an alcoholic and while I am struggling to combat alcoholism and all the problems related to it. I really want to help other individuals out there who have the same problems just like me to be able to get out of that situation recover from that horrible condition. I felt sad when I saw people drinking too much and binge drinking. My heart breaks whenever I hear people doing unnatural things while under the influence of alcohol. I feel for those people and will try to assist them as best as I can and lend them a hand. And I feel irritated when I encounter people who are claiming there are easy ways to quit drinking alcohol.

I have proven that it is very difficult even to start your journey to quit drinking alcohol. I am not discouraging everyone who are planning to give up the habit rather I am just telling the truth when it comes to quitting drinking alcohol. But it is possible. Not like the smooth path we walked on when we first drink up to the time we became addicted to the substance, the road to recovery has thorns and obstacles that you may meet along the way. If you are not sure of what you are doing, might as well ask some doctors to give you some insights on what is going to happen. But otherwise, if you are determined and has the guts to do it and you are able to surpass this situation, we can assure of a smooth sailing in not do distant future. I know there are many individuals who are hooked to alcohol but are not aware of it or that they have drinking problems. They don’t know they are addicted to alcohol and they are binge drinking due to unknown reasons. IN some instances, there are individuals who know they have problems with alcohol but are ignoring them due to the fact that they don’t have enough information about how to quit drinking alcohol and how to fight that terrible habit. There are also group of people who know they are addicted and know they need to undergo treatments and try to quit drinking but continue to abuse alcohol due to weak personality and determination in which are strongly connected to personal and social influences. There are lots of individuals who have excessively drinking for the past couple of years, have gone wild and have drinking troubles and those people need our help to get out of the quick sand they are into right now.

I will always tell you, it is possible to quit drinking alcohol but it may not be easy. Disregard the theory there are easy ways. As far as I am concerned, the best tagline to use is that there are REALISTIC ways that we can apply if we are trying to get rid of this addictive substance. By using these realistic steps, we can quit drinking alcohol just like many people who managed to get out of the terrible habit. By means of combining all the things needed to acquire sobriety, we all can have a happy and healthier life in the future.
